DIN Rail UPS Power Supplies

The ADELSystem CBI “All-in-One” series are DIN Rail uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), that have combined functions of power supply, back-up module, battery charger and battery tester.

The CBI line uses switching technology with microcontrollers, which means that in case of power failure, the CBI unit can automatically and seamlessly switch from mains power to battery power (back-up power) without interruption to the connected equipment.

No manual battery charging or power supply switching is necessary; the CBI units can do this upon set up and installation.

Features of ADELSystem CBI Series Explained

Battery charger – there are three battery charging types available depending on what the unit requires. The passage from one stage of the battery charging is determined by voltage and current measurements, not by timing.

Boost – rapid charging to quickly reload the battery.
Trickle – slow “trickling” charging until the battery reaches full capacity. This can be done while the unit is in use.
Recovery – applies pulses of current to revive discharged (sulfated) batteries. This happens when the buildup of lead sulfate crystals have formed on the battery plates when the battery is left partially discharged over prolonged periods.

Battery tester – this is part of the Battery Care feature, under the Life Test function, which monitors the battery’s condition and efficiency.

The CBI series are also compliant with CEI 0-16 and ENEL DK5600 standards. The ENEL DK5600 certification ensures that transformer substations are designed and built to required guidelines.

Whereas CEI 0-16 guarantees that devices are tested to bear new levels of voltage dips, and to continuously operate even in the event of rapid and significant fluctuations.
