There are 2 alarm relays which indicate if the incoming AC supply has failed and if the battery is low or faulty.
There is also an integrated battery impedance test, so that warning can be given if the battery is nearing the end of its useful life due to degradation from years of charging and recharging.
UPS with Remote Monitoring
Remote monitoring and control are available on Adel’s UPS power supplies with a power output of 420W or higher via the Modbus communications protocol.
The optional ADELSystem DPY351 display/gateway is available if you wish to communicate with the UPS via Ethernet.

Reduced Installation Costs
One of the most expensive components in a remote power installation can be the batteries required to supply backup power.
With an ADELSystem DIN rail UPS system there is the possibility of halving the number of batteries required.
Typically, a 48V ADELSystem DC UPS unit is used to power the main equipment, with an additional DC to DC converter to step the 48V down to the voltage required to power peripheral equipment. This is all backed up with a 48V battery system. This installation usually requires four 12V batteries to produce the required 48V.
A more cost effective installation would be to use a 24VDC UPS with a DC to DC converter stepping up the voltage from 24V to 48V for the main equipment. This way you only need two 12V batteries to backup the system.
